GRADING
SYLLABUS
The purpose of a tested grading system is to demonstrate progressive levels of proficiency and seniority through time spent practicing the art and also knowledge and skills acquired during that time. It is a way to distinguish the experienced from the novice. This also provides a positive incentive for the individual to achieve and progress, a great motivational factor as well as establishing a hierarchy within an organisation. The hierarchy of command brings pride and achievement into each grading examination and indirectly helps to improve the individual's personal skills. The school acts like a family with the opportunity to take and give orders, thus installing leadership, cooperation and coordination. Furthermore this allows the students to understand that in order to be respected, one must learn to respect others. |
